Description of Problem or Issue

Special education plays a big role in today's school systems. Although special education is extremely important, it is not always put first in the classroom. Special education has remained important through the years. Along with the great improvements that have been made, there have also been setbacks. Having special education children in a regular learning environment can be both problematic and beneficial, for not only the special education students but the regular education students as well. One concerning factor is the availability and funding of materials needed for Special Education children. Some schools are not given enough money to provide the necessary materials, such as teacher aids. Another factor some should be concerned about is how special education students interact with other students and vice versa. In order for special education students to receive funding, state's must develop policies that insure free public education to all children with disabilities!
